Suggested Prayer Guide for Good Friday:

Praise & Thanks. Read Isaiah 53 out loud.

Remember, this was written centuries before the events of Jesus’ crucifixion. Then take some time to thank God for his plan of salvation for all.
Other passages to consider: 1 Peter 3:18; 1 Peter 2:24; John 3:16-17;

“Dear Lord Jesus, today we stop and set time aside to reflect upon your sacrifice for us. We thank you that while we were still your enemies, that you followed the Father’s will and died in our place. You are the only one that was or will ever be able to do that. Thank you for being Emmanuel, God with us, the only God who offers salvation with no strings attached. Thank you for suffering on my behalf, for taking the penalty for my sin. We don’t deserve your gift. We thank you for your eternal love and respond with our desire to obey. We worship you as the One True God, our creator and sustainer, our Saviour. Amen.
