Sunday Worship & Prayer Guide – April 19, 2020

We welcome you to gather and worship together with our Grace Bible Fellowship family.  Although we may be unable to gather physically right now, we know that our great God is not limited by physical connection – we can still gather together as his church and unite together to worship Him.

Worship Through Song – Jason

Suggested Prayer Guide for Sunday:  Reflection on Psalm 29 (from Strategic Renewal).

Read Psalm 29.

Praise/Adoration.

Fill in the blanks.

God, I praise you for your awesome might and majesty displayed in ___________________________________.

I praise you that you are sovereign over __________________________________.

Do this together, out loud and even write them down.  Even if you are alone, think of something to thank and praise God for, and do that out loud.

Response

Take a moment and reflect on God’s awesome power revealed on this Psalm or other places in His creation.  How do you feel in such moments? How are you prompted to respond?

Sharing/Asking.

We know that there are areas in our lives right now that need the intervention of our All-Powerful God.  Complete this thought in prayer to God:

Father, nothing is impossible for you!  Therefore, I ask you to _________________________.

Think of something you are concerned about, that you would like prayer for, and share that with each other. If you are alone, talk with God about it, out loud.

Take some time to pray for each other in your group. If you are alone, pray about your requests, out loud.

Praise/Readiness.

Father, help me to remember your might and glory this day and this week.  Help me to praise you even in the middle of ______________________________.

Take 30 seconds (or more) to speak out loud to God what you find most comforting or encouraging about who He says He is.

Would you be willing to share with the greater church family? Or would you like to be contacted to have someone contact you privately to pray for you?  If so, send a note to Pastor Jason or Pastor Andrew, one of the elders (or their wives), worshipgbf@gmail.com or Treasa Breen in the church office info@gbfchurch.org.  We can support each other by bringing all our requests to our great God together.

Connecting Challenges for the week

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal one person to you that he would like you to connect with.  Make an intentional plan to contact that person and encourage them with one thing that God is teaching you during this time.

  • Write a poem that demonstrates one of the attributes of God in this passage.  Send it to worshipgbf@gmail.com
