Worship & Prayer Guide – June 7, 2020

We welcome you to gather and worship together with your Grace Bible Fellowship family.  We were so encouraged as we participated last week with Watoto - we hope you were blessed.

We also want to thank each of you who responded to our online worship services survey this past week.  We hope to be able to incorporate many of the suggestions that you have submitted as we move forward.  While we know that this method of “gathering” is not ideal, we are thankful that we can still worship our God together during this time.

Let’s unite together as we worship through music, prayer, scripture reading, listening, giving and teaching.

Prayer Guide:  Reflection on 2 Timothy 4:17-18

Let’s read what the apostle Paul wrote:

17 The Lord stood at my side. He gave me the strength to preach the whole message. Then all the Gentiles heard it. I was saved from the lion’s mouth. 18 The Lord will save me from every evil attack. He will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. Give him glory forever and ever. Amen.

  1. Praise/Adoration.

Take some time to vocally praise God.  He is the only one worthy of our worship.

  • Lord I worship you because you are _______________________. (ex. Loving, all-powerful, sovereign over all…)

  1. Response

Take some time to reflect on the following: Lord I remember when you...

  • stood by my side

  • gave me strength

  • saved me from _________________.

What other person is God asking you to share this with

  1. Sharing/Asking.

Pray for compassion and understanding.  Pray that the universal and local church would be able to represent God’s mercy and grace.

Take some time to pray for the recent graduates.  Landon Sample, Tristan Wiebe, Micah Siebert have all graduated from high school!  (Please forgive me if I missed anyone)  They haven’t had a normal graduation to celebrate this wonderful accomplishment.  Pray for each of them that they would follow where the Lord would guide and direct their future steps.

Our “Missionary of the Month” is Tim and Erika Dolsky, who serve at Black Forest Academy in Germany.  Take some time to pray for them, their kids, and the young men that they are working/living with.

Pray for our leaders - both in our church body as well as our governments.  Ask that the Lord would grant wisdom and unity.

Who are you prompted to bring before the Lord to ask that he would stand by them, strengthen them, or save them.  Reach out to them and let them know that you are thinking of them and praying for them.

  1. Praise/Readiness.

Take a moment to listen to what God might be saying to you.  Is there anything that He is asking of you?

Take 30 seconds (or more) to speak out loud to God what you find most comforting or encouraging about who He says He is.
